The Western China International Sourcing Fair (WCISF) is one of the major events during

 the Western China International Fair (WCIF), the biggest portal for demonstrating the

 development of the competitive industries in the western China in a concentrated way and

 an important platform for promoting effective matching of procurement and supply and

 realizing pragmatic business cooperation. Since its first launching in 2008, it has become 

one of the most important sourcing fairs in China.

The 2012 WCISF will be held from September 25 to 30, 2012 in Chengdu, Sichuan, co-

hosted by United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), United Nations Procurement

 Division (UNPD), the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the 

Sichuan Provincial People’s Government. It is estimated that more than 10,000 suppliers 

will present at the fair which will be committed to providing excellent services for purchasers,

 including business matching prior to the fair, offering guidance for on-site matching and 

holding special meetings by industries for purchasers with large orders. All these measures

 will be taken to insure the high efficiency of purchasers' procurement plans.
