Sichuan Changhong Company together with another 26 companies from inside and outside Sichuan Province established Smart TV industry league in Sichuan on July 5. This league is also the first strategic emerging industry league established in Sichuan Province.

   The competition of the Smart TV will be the competition of the whole industry chain in the future. It is reported that leading by Changhong Company, the key enterprise in Smart TV, the league gathers domestic excellent enterprises and assembles, as well as the enterprises of the whole smart industry chain. It develops the Smart TV industry chain in Sichuan centering on three key points: intelligent terminal, application and service and innovation of business pattern.

    From the perspective of the global market development, the industry structure of the Smart TV is changing without the limits of the traditional household appliances as well as the IT enterprises.

   Based on the situation, Sichuan Smart TV Industry League will give consideration on two main lines-hardware and software, the Smart TV industry league in Sichuan will promote the combination of producing and researching, launch the research and development of the major core technology and products, overcome the difficulties of the technology in industry development as soon as possible, and develop the atmosphere of interior support and cooperation, with the hardware based on the industry chain of the whole machine and the model, the software based on the “intelligent platform”, “intelligent control” and “intelligent application”. As a result, the Smart TV industry league in Sichuan will realize the industrialization from the major fruit of science and technology, achieve the development of the industry focus, and boost the cultivation of the strategic emerging industry in Sichuan.

   The vice director of the Economic & Information Commission of Sichuan Province Wu Piguang reveals that in the future three years, the league will establish an industry park of Smart TV in Sichuan. On that condition, they will gradually foster the environment of Smart TV industry, complete the Cloud Service Technology, reinforce the control of the basic home appliances, and attain the intelligent system of Cloud integration with the center of Smart TV. In 2012, the league will produce a whole series of Smart TV which is suitable for operation, fulfill the construction  of e-payment and application service platforms, and integrate a basic APP application program.

   The Twelfth Five-year Plan of strategic emerging industry in Sichuan Province proposed that it would implement the plan of supporting the excellent software companies and the information service companies, encourage the union and reconstruction of the upper and lower industry chain, as well as support to establish leagues among basic products companies and application companies. An industry base of national information, software, new energy, civil aviation, new material and bio-high technology will be lunched. which would forge 100 major products with sales revenue more than 1 billion and foster10 leading companies with sales revenue over 10 billion.
