Yesterday, on the support of The National Development and Reform Commission, the 13th WCIF Organizing Committee organized western provinces to hold “Western China Investment Project Seminar” in Guangzhou. 9 Provinces including Chongqing, Sichuan, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Guangxi and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps sent representatives to take part in the seminar and docking.

   There were 2759 key industry project recommended on the seminar, total investment about 2.35395 trillion Yuan, which was related to high-tech industry, advantage resources, equipment manufacturing industry, modern agriculture, serving industry and infrastructure. All the projects were printed into copies or made into CDs, and then they were distributed to the merchants who presented the seminar. At the same time, the Organizing Committee also issued almost 500 WCIF invitations, zealously inviting merchants to come to Chengdu to attend the WCIF.

   The Organizing Committee respectively invited 260 people from about 200 enterprises to attend the seminar, including a group of well-known enterprises, such as Guang Sheng Investment Group, Guangdong Medicine Group, Hua Xin Enterprise Group, Far East Leather Industry Group and the US Explorer. After some corporations got to know the information, they were willing to zealously attend the 13th WCIF held in Chengdu in late September, 2012. During the seminar, the organizing committee also made special arrangements for western provinces to carry on “one to one” on site mutual communication and docking with attending enterprises, part of which found the investment opportunities.

   The WCIF is an international expo event, which is hosted by 15 ministries, including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, and 12 western provinces (autonomous regions, municipality) people's governments and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, organized by Sichuan Provincial People's Government. In order to improve the actual effect of the meeting, the Organizing Committee of the WCIF has already organized western provinces to recommend and docking with developed coastal areas before the meeting, and this situation has lasted for 3 years, which fully embodied that the WCIF is a “co-hosting, sharing, win-win” stage in western region.
