On May 25, the Domestic Group Liaison Working Meeting of the Twelfth

Western China International Fair held in Chengdu. According Wu Xiankui, the

Vice Secretary-General of WCIF and Vice Director of Provincial Expo Affairs

Bureau, the 12th WCIF held form October 18 to 22 will further highlight its

international, professional and market characteristics and eight major

activities have been determined.

   Thousands of Purchasers Will Debut

   "The 12th WCIF held form October 18 to 22 will further highlight its

  international, professional and market characteristics, strive to achieve

  new breakthroughs in leader diplomacy, new results in investment promotion

  and new achievements in trade cooperation." According to Wu Xiankui, this

  year the organizing committee will actively invite the political dignitaries

  form world's developed economies and emerging economies and iconic figures

  from major international organizations to this WCIF; actively undertake

  international industrial transfer, promoting the major investment projects

  successfully signed; actively promote the invitation of professional guests,

  strengthen trade negotiations and maximize trade achievements.

     According to the official information, eight major activities and series

  special activities have been determined in this WCIF, such as the Opening

  Ceremony of the Twelfth WCIF, the Fourth Western China International

  Cooperation Forum, the Western China Investment Seminar and Economic

  Cooperation Signing Ceremony.

     In addition, the scale of the Fourth Western China International Sourcing

  Fair as an important event of the 2011 WCIF will have further breakthrough.

  Besides six United Nations procurement agencies, the organizing committee

  focuses their invitation on the purchasers from the five Central Asian

  countries, West Asia, South Asia, Europe and other international buyers.

  The exhibition is expected to be divided into six categories.

      According to the official information, with "leading the international

  cooperation, expanding market” as the theme of this WCIF, the exhibition

  in the main hall will be held in the same time and the exhibition occupies

  120,000 square meters. The main exhibition hall has six pavilions namely

  West Cooperation Pavilion, International Cooperation Pavilion, High-tech

  Pavilion,IT Pavilion, Equipment Manufacturing Pavilion, Agricultural

  Pavilion.
 

     According to Wang Xiaoguang, the Vice Secretary-General of WCIF and the

  Vice Secretary of Provincial Expo Affairs Bureau, Electronic Information

  Pavilion will showcase the latest scientific products and technology,

  such as Internet technology, three networks integration (the integration

  of telecommunications network, computer network and cable television),

  3D technology from Intel, Foxconn, Compal
